OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a proactive and client-focused individual to join our team as a Loan Manager. This role is integral to our company, as it involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, referral sources, and business partners. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing client interactions, processing detailed loan applications, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
DAY-TO-DAY:
As part of a team, the Loan Manager will manage the full lifecycle of loans including origination, underwriting support, funding, renewal, and discharge. This includes coordinating documentation, completing internal adjudication and control processes, advancing files through Salesforce workflow stages, and communicating with clients and business partners on requirements, timelines, and outcomes.
You’ll be working extensively in Outlook, Excel, Word, DocuSign, SharePoint, and Salesforce to manage loan files and ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Interaction

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral sources and business partners. You are not expected to bring in business (although we would be happy if you did), but you are expected to keep clients, referral sources, and business partners happy.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, referral sources, insurers, and our business partners throughout the loan process.

Explain our process to clients and referral sources verbally and in writing.

Willingness to be flexible to accommodate client circumstances.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Loan Documentation

Prepare and maintain internal underwriting documentation, including adjudication checklists and control forms, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and consistent.

Advance loan files through internal workflow stages, including preliminary, funding, and final approval, and coordinate with Compliance/Underwriting to obtain approvals and resolve deficiencies.

Work with loan analysts to ensure:

loan document packages are completed accurately and efficiently; and

"KYC" (Know Your Client) due diligence is properly conducted to ensure compliance.

Coordinate pre-funding requirements, including execution of loan packages, collection of insurer and legal documentation, and set-up banking transactions.

Actively support funding requests by assisting in the preparation and validation of funding materials and ensuring loans are ready for inclusion in funding submissions.

Manage post-funding requirements, including collection and review of insurer documentation and completion of final approval steps.

Assist with renewals and loan discharges, including updating documentation, coordinating payouts, and ensuring all required processes are completed.

Generally assist our team of Loan Managers and Loan Analysts in serving our clients.
WHO YOU ARE:
Must Haves:

At least 2 years of experience in a loan manager or similar role.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail skills.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint).

Proficiency in Salesforce.

Pro-active, positive, can-do attitude.
